Printers Not Appearing in Famous.rdp (Windows App)

Applies To: Windows App (Remote Desktop) for Famous

Symptoms

• Local printers do not appear in your remote session.
• You cannot print from Famous.
• Printers are missing after connecting through Windows App.

Resolution

1. Open Windows App.
2. Locate the remote session you want to connect to.
3. Select the three dots (...) next to the session.
4. Select Settings.
5. Select Redirections.
6. Verify the following options are checked:
   • Printers
   • Drivers
   • Ports
   • Supported Plug and Play Devices
7. Connect to your remote session.

These settings allow local printers and related devices to be available within your remote session.

Contact IT If

• Printers still do not appear after verifying the settings.
• You are unable to print from Famous.
• Windows App displays an error when connecting.
