Outlook Crashing on iPhone

KB Article: Outlook App Crashes on Launch (iPhone)

Issue

End users may experience the Outlook app crashing immediately when attempting to open it on an iPhone.

Cause

Corrupted app data stored on the device may prevent the Outlook app from launching properly.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to remove the corrupted data and reinstall the Outlook app:

Step 1: Delete Outlook App and App Data

  1. On the iPhone, navigate to:
    Settings > General > iPhone Storage

  2. Scroll down and select Outlook.

  3. Tap Delete App to remove both the app and its associated data.

Step 2: Reboot the iPhone

  • After deleting the app, perform a full device restart.

Step 3: Reinstall Outlook

  1. Open the App Store.

  2. Search for Microsoft Outlook.

  3. Download and install the app again.

Once reinstalled, the Outlook app should open successfully.

Outcome

Outlook should now launch without crashing. If issues persist, escalate to IT for further troubleshooting.
