Title: Cisco VPN Service Down – How to Use Backup DR ASA
Purpose
To guide users on connecting to the backup VPN when the primary Cisco VPN service is unavailable.
Scope
Applies to all employees who use Cisco Secure Client for remote access.
Procedure

Open Cisco Secure Client
Launch the Cisco Secure Client application on your device.

Update the Server Address
- Go to your VPN connection settings.
- Change the server address from:
straw.calgiant.com
to:
dr.calgiant.com

Save and Connect
- Save the updated configuration.
- Click Connect to establish the VPN connection using the DR ASA.
Troubleshooting
- If you cannot connect to dr.calgiant.com, verify your internet connection.
- Contact the IT Helpdesk if issues persist.
Notes
- Use the backup VPN only when the primary VPN is confirmed down.
- Do not revert to the primary VPN until IT confirms service restoration.
