How to Print from an iPhone or iPad (iOS Devices)

Requirements

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS 10 or later

  • Access to the office Wi-Fi network

  • A printer that supports one of the following:

    • AirPrint

    • Manufacturer mobile print app (HP, Brother, Canon, Epson, etc.)

    • Email-to-Print (if enabled by IT)

Note: The iPhone/iPad and printer must be on the same network unless otherwise configured by IT.


Section 1 — Print Using AirPrint (Recommended)

Step 1 – Connect to Wi-Fi

  1. Open Settings on the iPhone/iPad

  2. Tap Wi-Fi

  3. Ensure you are connected to the correct office Wi-Fi network


Step 2 – Open the Item You Want to Print

Examples:

  • Documents (Files app / PDF)

  • Email (Mail, Outlook)

  • Web pages (Safari)

  • Photos (Photos app)


Step 3 – Open the Print Option

  1. Tap the Share icon (square with arrow up)
    – OR – tap the … (More) menu depending on the app

  2. Tap Print


Step 4 – Select the Printer

  1. Tap Select Printer

  2. Choose your office printer from the list


Step 5 – Adjust Print Options

You may see some or all of the following:

  • Number of copies

  • Color or Black & White

  • Single-Sided or Double-Sided

  • Page Range


Step 6 – Print

Tap Print
