If you have received an email saying:

Hello,

Your device is noncompliant with CalGiant Mobile Device Management policies.

Please contact helpdesk@calgiant.com as soon as possible.

Thank you,

What this means is that your device is out of CalGiant policy and will need to updated.

To check non compliance updates start by opening up your comp portal.

Next you will need to click on notifications to see what is non-compliant.

Then click on the notification in the list. Right now, we only have one showing with a red exclamation.

Once you have the notification open, click retry to scan device.

**If problem persists, click on How to Resolve This to read on instructions/documentation on issue.

After scanning the device, we can see the policy is requesting we install/activate Active Shield. Active Shield provides enterprises proactive detection and prevention on BYO and corporate-owned iOS mobile devices.

Now we need to check on Active Better Shield. Going back to the device main screen we click into active better shield.

We want to make sure that active better shield is working for the policy.

In the policy, the phone cannot be at a medium threshold. It MUST be at a low in order to check in.

Lets take a look at the Threshold in Active Shield. Looking at Active shield we can see two things.

  1. The threshold level is at a medium. We will need to Lower the threshold.

**This is usually having to do with what Active Shield considers a unsafe/safe network. Usually                        disconnecting from any wifi will lower the threshold levels.

  1. We have a scan again button. This is where we can initiate Active Shield to scan the phone to determine the threshold level.

On device head to settings and click on wifi toggle bar to disable.

Next we will restart the phone to disconnect any saved cached data from the previous wifi connection.

Once the phone has restarted head on over to Active Shield again to run another scan.

Click on Scan Again button to perform a scan.

**sometimes the scan doesn’t lower the threshold right away. If the bar is still in a the middle, give you phone about 15-30 minutes and then scan again.

Once you scan it should look like this.

Next head over to your Comp Portal to rescan device to check in your device.

Your phone is up to date and now compliant!
