Overview
If you accidentally delete files, you can restore them from the Recycle Bin in Windows. This process allows you to recover individual files or all deleted items.
Steps to Restore Files
Step 1: Open the Recycle Bin
- Double-click the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop.
Step 2: Choose Files to Restore
- To restore all deleted files, click Restore all items.
- To restore specific files, select the files you want and click Restore.
Step 3: Verify Restoration
- The restored files will return to their original location.
- Check the folder where the files were originally stored to confirm recovery.
Additional Notes
- If the Recycle Bin has been emptied, files cannot be restored using this method.
- For permanently deleted files, contact IT for advanced recovery options.
